I would simply like to explain in brief, what you are seeing
possibly for the first time now you are connected with your FTP program
to this "root" of your web hosting area - public_html.

This is the area to upload your web site pages to.

.htaccess - do not delete this file if it exists

If you can see an .htaccess file, then please do not delete this.
This file has settings you or I have entered to configure your hosting
account. If you need to add any commands to this file, please do
so, but do not delete or alter any command lines that exist within
this file already. Always add your commands under any commands that exist,
unless you are confident of what you are doing of course :)

cgi-bin - do not delete this directory
-----------------------
this is where you place any CGI(somename.cgi) or PERL (somename.pl)
scripts. These scripts will only run from this directory.

Some sample scripts are provided for you via your Cpanel (Control Panel)
and will be installed automatically for you into this directory.

If you do get stuck, then please read the documentation from your
CPanel (Control Panel) first, and then get in touch if you need to.

You can safely delete this file.
